Tranquil Tides offers teletherapy sessions via video in our app for adults looking for help with things such as anxiety, depression, life changes, mood disorders, personal growth, etc. Using teletherapy is beneficial as it promotes relaxation and reduces stress. It allows you to be somewhere where you are comfortable. It helps avoid transportation, travel, or parking issues. It offers more flexibility and access for people in more areas.

What can therapy do?

Therapy can help you learn practical coping strategies to help you manage your anxiety symptoms; help you overcome depression and develop a more positive outlook on life; guide you to work through trauma and develop healthy coping skills; help you normalize and get through life transitions easier; and provide a safe place to help you with personal growth and self-development. We will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.

My Experience
I obtained my dual bachelors degree in Cognitive Science and Psychology from Oswego State University in New York State. I obtained my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William James College in Boston Massachusetts.

I have worked in various settings helping clients with a range of problems including anxiety, depression, going through life transitions, bipolar and other mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, substance use disorders, grief and loss, and personality disorders, etc.

I have been a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in Tennessee since September of 2021. I am also a LMHC in New York state since April of 2020.

I would describe my approach as warm, empathetic, person centered, and solution focused. I will work with you to help you reach your goals and make positive changes in your life. I use an eclectic approach pulling techniques from many theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
